Busy day today. Busy week! My kids start school on Wednesday and I still have lots to do. With school starting, I’ve been thinking a lot about healthy breakfasts. I love smoothies for breakfast because the kids can eat drink them in the car on the drive to school if we’re in a hurry. Plus they are super healthy which is always a plus! These are one of my favorite breakfast smoothies. They’re high in protein, so I seem to stay full longer when I drink one. Enjoy!
Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
2 cups milk
2/3 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon any nut butter
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
Blend and drink! This recipe makes enough for me and my three kids to share.
I’m linking this post up to these parties.

I usually make some kind of green smoothie and eat that with lunch. I’ll have to try this for breakfast, I already have all the ingredients so I don’t even have to go to the store. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! I know oatmeal is terribly healthy, but frankly, I can’t stand the taste, or the texture. For some crazy reason, I can do smoothies (I know, I can’t explain why I like that texture and not oatmeal). I think I have just found the way for me to get the health benefits of oatmeal! : )
