Hi everyone! My name is Carrie, and I blog over at My Favorite Finds. On My Favorite Finds, you’ll find tutorials, recipes, organization ideas, and Disney travel tips! I love to share my {FAVORITE} ideas with my readers, and I hope you’ll check it out. I’m addicted to Starbucks, reading, shopping, and my sweet kids and hubby. I’m always looking for a new recipe or craft to fill our bellies or beautify our home. I’m also slightly addicted to planning, and going on, Disney vacations with my family. I love sharing my ideas about Disney planning on my blog AND on Chip & Co. Each week I co-host Pinworthy Projects, where you can share your latest pinworthy crafts, DIY projects, and recipes. Come over and join in the fun.
Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love getting together with family to BBQ, enjoy a dip in the pool, and watch the fireworks. I think it’s super fun to create a simple dessert tray with some patriotic foods to enjoy. For the Fourth, I put together a dessert plate of “Sparklers” and Red, White, and Blue {Ice Cream} Sandwiches.
To make the “Sparklers” {aka pretzel rods with sprinkles}, I melted some chocolate over a double boiler. Then, I dipped the ends of the pretzel rods in the chocolate and rolled them in sprinkles. Done! It was SUPER easy and added a festive touch.
Red, White, and Blue {Ice Cream} Sandwiches
Ingredients:
*Graham crackers, broke in half
*Low fat cool whip
*Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Directions:
1. Spread the cool whip between two graham crackers. Make sure you use enough cool whip to “smash” some out of the sides.
2. Roll the cool whip, that should be peeking out of the sides of the graham crackers, in some sprinkles.
3. Place them on a plate and freeze for a few hours. Freezing over night is best, but a few hours should harden the cool whip, too.
What do you like to serve at those Fourth of July picnics? I hope to see you around My Favorite Finds!
