I really love this time of year! The only problem is all of the yummy (and completely unhealthy) food. It’s no wonder we all start the new year with goals of getting healthy. So this year, I wanted to try my hardest to keep on track. At least a little bit. That way I won’t feel so guilty when I enjoy just a few too many sugar cookies. So, here’s my plan:
Drink Lots of Water.
We all know how beneficial drinking water can be. Plus it helps us stay full longer – which could mean less snacking on too many holiday treats!
Stay active.
In my book, holiday shopping is about as active as a person can get. Am I right?!? All that walking and toting heavy bags around. Not to mention the wrapping that comes afterward. That’s good for fine muscle toning. ;)
And lastly, keep lots of healthy snacks on hand.
That way if you do get a sugar craving, you have a healthy (and delicious) alternative to reach for. What’s my pick for a healthy snack?

You know the saying that if you can’t pronounce what’s on the label, it’s probably not good for you. None of that here!! Plus, these babies are packed with protein (read: stay full longer!) Want to know which one was my favorite? I honestly thought it would be the Toasted Coconut, which I really did love. But, the Peanut Crunch is so divine! But, really, you can’t go wrong with any of them!
