We eat salad with our dinners a lot. Like almost every night. Sometimes the only thing we eat is the main course plus a salad! No other side dishes. My kids are really good about eating their veggies, but will sometimes leave some of their salad leaves on their plate. A couple of years ago, for Christmas, my sister-in-law gave us a big salad bowl and a dressing carafe. The carafe had several different dressing recipes printed on it. One day, I finally decided to try the Poppyseed Dressing. We liked it, but didn’t love it. I tweeked and changed the recipe every time I made it until I finally came up with this recipe. And my whole family really loves it! Now, my kids are excited to eat salad as long as “that yummy dressing” is on the table.
I love this dressing, too! The only thing that bothered me is that it uses sugar. And a lot of sugar. When NECTRESSE™Sweetener offered to send me a sample of their natural sweetener, I knew exactly what I would use it in. In fact, NECTRESSE™Sweetener is the only 100% natural sweetener made from fruit – monk fruit extract. Plus, NECTRESSE™Sweetener is calorie free and is 150 times sweeter than sugar, so you can use less in your recipes. And my favorite part is that you can use NECTRESSE™Sweetener in baking! That’ll be my next experiment.
Lisa Ling is the NECTRESSE™Sweetener spokes person. She uses NECTRESSE™Sweetener to satisfy her sweet tooth without worrying about her family history of diabetes.
If you want to try my Sweet Poppyseed Dressing, you can request a FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener! And if you can’t wait until then, no worries. You can buy NECTRESSE™Sweetener in grocery stores for suggested retail prices of $3.99 (packets) and $6.99 (canisters)
Here’s what you need to make the dressing:
Sweet Poppyseed Dressing
recipe from www.loveandlaundry.com
1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoons Dry Mustard
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup Olive Oil
14 packets of NECTRESSE™ (14 teaspoons from the canister or 1/2 cup of sugar)
1/2 tablespoon Poppyseeds
Mix all of the ingredients together really well. If the dressing separates before you serve it, just mix it some more. I like to put mine in a bottle and shake it really hard. Enjoy!!
