Hide gifts from curious kids with Kmarts Free Layaway Program

I don’t know about you, but I start planning for Christmas in August every year. The problem is, so do my kids.  My daughter absolutely loves Christmas and she always has. Even when she was three, if I let her pick a movie to watch, it would always be a Christmas one, no matter what time of year it was. This year has me thrown for a loop, though. My usual Christmas hiding spot is in our basement in what we call the “food storage room”. It has a locking bedroom doorknob that locks from the inside. I’m a master lock picker with these types of doorknobs. You know the kind where you shove a pin through the tiny hole? Unfortunately, my daugher has picked up that talent as well. I was just telling my husband that I need to find a new present hiding place and quick!

Luckily, Kmart has an awesome free layaway program, so they can hide the holiday gifts for me this year! Woot!!

Plus, unlike other stores, you don’t even have to go into the Kmart store to manage your layaway – you can make payments online! And, Kmart even has a huge selection of items that you can put on layaway right from their website! So, if you’re a middle of the night shopper like me, that’s perfect!

Here’s to one more year of keeping my Christmas presents a secret! I wonder how long it will be before she learns to check internet history. Hmmmm…
